Lead-acid batteries frequently suffer from a loss of capacity over time. In many cases this is due to plate sulfation. At least to some extent this degradation can be reversed by various means (EDTA, Epsom salt). However the most conveniant way is the usage of a so-called desulfator. This is an electronic device which has to be connected to the respective battery and produces high-current, short-duration electric flow at a repetition rate of about 1 to 2 kHz. These currents basically smash the sulfite from the plates back into the acidic solution.
There are many products, schematics or kits available. One of the most common designs is used in an assembled and soldered kit (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-12-Volts-Lead-Acid-Battery-Desulfator-Assembled-Kit/32274107267.html) which is available at bargain prices online. It is designed for 12 V batteries.
As this kit does not come with an enclosure, I created a bespoke one for it. It consists of three parts (box, cover
