A box a day keeps the doctor away.
Another box with a fun way of opening. Impractical and over complicated.
It should be printable on decent machine.
Instructions:
Print the box with the opening facing up
Print the lid with the flat side facing up
Print the connector flat
Break loose the 'hinge' with a strong object. I use the tip of a pliers. You can ignore this step if you have confidence in the clearance.
Push the connector in the box.
Push the lid onto the connector.
IMPORTANT: The gears must not engage when assembling. So install the lid ~90 degrees away from the box so that closing the box winds up the spring.
You can make the lid pop open with more force by 'winding' the spring. This is done by opening the lid to the point where the gears re-engage until you are happy with the force.
This can lead to the spring deforming. Any suggestions to fix this issue are welcome.
