CONCEPT: The design of this PC station is concentrated on an economical use of space and small amount of different body parts. I think that the old work station is really fine and a new one concentrated only on the esthetic element wouldn’t give it justice. That is way I tried to offer something new; new way of assembling the computer and a new way of production with 3D printing (of course both version must be carefully evaluated by the company if they are rational) Thanks to the monitor holder the computer is all on the table behind the monitor. In this case you have more options to choose from. Every user can find his own way of assembling the computer by choosing the parts he wishes to have. COMPOSITION: The computer is made of three different parts; classic PC station; second small „station“ for four USB inputs, headphone input and on/off button; and the holder for the monitor. The style of all the components is minimalistic. The ideal production of all the components could be 3D printing. The material used must be minimized using as little components as possible. For the detail of the opening of the PC station small magnets are used instead of screws. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT: The work is not completed and I will develop the concept further. The next step is making it more rational in material consumption and the assembly details. I am still working on the „ideal“ shape of the monitor holder and system of rotating the monitor.
