My wife is a biology teacher and was looking for a print here on Thingiverse to use as a teaching aid to describe areas of the brain to her pupils.
This brain puzzle is based upon the puzzle made by THISISJMAN9 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1092748) that we made but found a bit too tight fitting. Having found a suitable resource picture at https://www.iowaclinic.com/webres/File/anatomy-brain.pdf, I created a new model using Fusion 360. The model is similar to THISISJMAN9's but has been modelled to fit more easily together and is larger in size.
Printed at 100% the print measures approx 15cms (6 inches) across.
The print shown was done with Eryone PLA printed on an Ender 3 Pro at 210 degrees hot end temp and 65 degrees bed temp. This was sliced with CURA 4.5 at 0.2mm with a 10% zigzag infill.
The model covers the following brain sections (files are individual for printing in different colours):
- Brainstem
- Broca's Area
- Cerebellum
- Frontal Lobe
- Motor Strip
