GUIDE FOR CRANK TYPE BREAD SLICERI made this Bread Slicer Guide for crank type Slicers that don’t have a guide. Many of the earlier manufactured crank slicers or those that are less expensive don’t have this feature. This guide prevents the slices from falling over and getting in the way of the crank which often causes them to tear. Or, at best, you have to stop and guide the bread out from under the crank so you can continue slicing which really slows down the slicing process. This guide is a very simple fix that makes your slicer work so much better. My model is made for a board that is 7/8 of an inch thick. THIS IS IMPORTANT because the guide simply is pushed onto the board and it stays in place. This makes for easy removal and cleaning and no holes need to be drilled. You may need to shrink it down or widen it up a bit in the slicer program to give it the proper fit for your slicer so that it stays in place for you.
