Build Plate Spring Replacement

UPDATE: 1e is a little beefed up and has a a slight wedge shape guiding the blade into the slot. Gently push the blade straight down. I made this on a resib printer and if you use a resin printer be warned you may shatter the part if you use too much down force,

You can replace your bed springs with silicone vacuum hose cut to length.

This is a simple two part jig that holds the silicone hose securely while you cut it with a box knife that uses blades that can be broken off. Mine has blades that are .5mm thick which this was designed for.

Use vacuum hose 9mm OD and 3mm ID.

The smaller piece slips on top of the hose to help hold it in place for a secure grip and accurate cut.

I'll update this as soon as my parts are done printing.

The smaller piece may need a little sanding.
