This is a Bambu Lab–compatible remix/print profile of the burger press designed by wickedwampus on Thingiverse. The meat patties will have a diameter of 11.5 cm when made with this press. The press creates an indentation/dimple in the burger patty. The dimple helps prevent the burger patty from bulging during cooking. As the meat heats up, proteins contract and moisture is released, which would otherwise cause the center to rise. Placing the dimple facing down on the pan or grill compensates for this effect, resulting in a flatter, more evenly cooked burger. The bottom part of the press comes in 2 pieces so the patty can be removed easier after pressing. I recommend printing this in PETG, as it is more food-safe and less brittle (who wants to eat plastic…) than e.g. PLA. No other surprises — no supports are required; it’s a fairly simple print. Have fun printing this and enjoy your now even better looking burgers!
