You haven't known true terror until you're bleeding out in the mud and you see a Surgeon dragging their 'Butcher's Table' towards you. It's not a bed; it's a workbench. They'll haul you onto it, mid-battle, and get to work with a bone-saw and a rusty needle. It's a high-stakes gamble. You might get a 'Hasty Procedure' that'll have you back on your feet, fully healed and ready to fight. Or, the surgery might be 'botched,' and you'll wake up to find they've accidentally amputated your good arm. It's a grim choice, but when you're dying, 'mostly-fixed' is a hell of a lot better than 'dead'.
