Butterfly Insect Crawdad Net

This is a sturdy net for many purposes including a butterfly/Insect, crawdads, small fish, or a variety of other critters depending on the netting material you add. For the net pictured I used a mesh bag for camping that would be ideal for larger insects or crawdads for the one pictured. The net frame prints well without supports however the handles require supports. I prefer to use Bambu PLA Support Material because it comes off clean and nice for the threads. The recommended handle length includes two extension pieces and an end piece but your welcome to add additional extensions if you need a longer handle. I made the net by folding over the top edge about 1 inch then sowing a seam about ¾ inch from the fold creating a loop around the top edge to thread the frame through. I then sewed the seam along the side stopping about ¾ inch front the bottom of the top fold. After installing the net on the frame, you thread the first handle piece on the net frame to secure it in place.
