This is a magnetic webcam boom I made for my C270 webcam. It is based on two mounts listed in the references.
I redesigned this mount to use a piece of 4mm aluminum rod or carbon fiber to help with drooping. It uses a clamp so the moving portion has friction with the clamp but the bolt and nut don't move. I also added a counter balance for the camera. If I didn't, the camera would eventually rotate as the set screw will not be able to hold that much twisting force.
I updated the Mount to use 4mm rods. and added a knuckle in the middle of the rod.
The magnets are 12mm x 3mm. I picked them up at my local hardware store. You will also need :
(3) M3x6 cap screws
(2) M3 x15 plus M3 Lock nuts
(1) M3 x12 cap crew and lock nut
(1) 4mm x 200mm of carbon fiber rod or aluminum rod
(1) 4mm x 100mm of carbon fiber rod or aluminum rod
I included an alternate version with the camera mount horizontal. It will require supports touching the base.
