If you are running wires inside cable channels, it might be beneficial to organize those wires within the channel. This is where the Cable Channel Standoff comes in handy. This parametric SCAD design allows you to create and print inserts that fit perfectly into your cable channels and let you organize wires with ease!
To make use of the cable channel, do the following:
1) Measure the usable area inside your cable channel. Note that cable channels typically specify their outer dimensions, so the inner dimensions will be at least 1mm smaller in all directions.
2) Determine how many wires you're running and what their size is. This affects the number of channels in the standoff and their size. For example, in a 38mm standoff I can create 4 channels of 6mm each. This lets me put in several 3x2,5 flat LS power cables.
3) Customize the template. You can choose whether or not you want the end of channels to be rounded (this gives the model extra rigidity), whether your channels s
