Cable Jointing Sliding Clamps

Further to a recent upload of vises or clamps designed for mainly cable or wire soldering joints, after giving it some more thought I've come up with this or these models.These cable clamps can be used as separate entities or used in conjunction with the base, the 2 clamps can be moved along the slider arrangement for total control when soldering 2 cables or wires.Designed for a cables from 2mm diameter to 0.75mm or less.The clamps can be used with rubber bands as in the photos or springs can be added to the assembly for adjusting tension and also to adjust the clamp opening, I used a rubber band at the back of the sliding clamp arrangement as this secure the clamps in place but still leaves the ability to slide the clamps easily into position, a simple push from the screw thumb turn side opens the clamp.This model will appeal to anyone who carries out soldering cable joints for model servo's etc and many other uses where a pair of helping hands prove useful.It's amazing wh
