Calla Lilly Flower Wedding Decoration
My wife LOVES calla lillies and asked me if I could 3D print her one. After searching, I couldn't find any, so I went into fusion and designed my own! These went through a lot of versions until we were both happy, so happy that we decided to make a lot of them for our wedding! Then began the long process of trying to print them... I went through a TON of trial and error on the best way to print these. All in all made around 80 for the wedding so each guest could have their own, but well over 150 total trying to get it to work. Silk PLA (or anything shiny) seemed to look the nicest, while green PLA+ was used for all the bases. We put 4- 6 in each mason jar as party favors/decorations and everyone could take them home. They were a big hit! The whole process of designing and printing took around 6 or 7 months (mostly during quarantine due to COVID).
