This is an upwards extension for the standard accessory shoe (known as hot/cold shoe) for cameras. The extension extends the shoe ca. 1 cm upwards. Supports for printing aren't needed when the object is printed on the side. After printing, you may need to grind the piece with sand paper on a few spots, if it's too tight to fit your camera.
