update: I have found an 8 inch hoop to be the best size for the lampshade to attach to.
update: on my lamp I used 6 center sections i bought the 30" threaded lamp rod and cut off what I needed. i put a nut on the thread heated nut with lighter and pulled it into the pla waited for it to cool (make sure to keep it as straight as possible) then assembled the lamp gluing a section at a time. printed spacer then harp bracket coupler short thread section then lamp socket. after figuring how long the rod needed to be I cut it then put super glue on bottom threads keeping it lock and flush with nut giving more room for cord to be tied in a not.
My candle stick lamp
Middle is in small sections and can be made as tall as you like.
made to work with a lamp kit with a center rod.
The base I took sand and mixed in some wood glue to make a paste, then filled bottom let it dry and glued on top. Increasing scale on height ( Z ) only on base bottom will give a bigger pocket for more weigh
