This is a tool for use in candle making that holds the wick centered and taught. It works for both cotton (any size) and wood wicks (size limited by gap width).
To use, insert the wick through one of the gaps on the sides of the inner tabs, then position the wick in the center while gently pressing down on the ends of the two tabs with your other hand. The tabs pinch the wick, keeping it vertically taught and centered.
The device is a full circle to prevent accidental drops into the wax (during testing with minimized rectangular footprint, had this happen a few times).
There are two models, one for 9oz jars and one for 16oz jars. The 9oz jars should have a lid diameter of 70mm. The 16oz jars should have an 82mm lid diameter. It should work with any lid thread type, because the edges only stick down slightly past the top to keep it centered.
