Canning Jar Lifter

This is a simple Jar Lifter for 80mm ( 3.15") canning jars common in Canada.


I was doing some canning and didn't have a lifter. Decided to make my own.
It just requires two M4 screws - about 16mm long for the hinges.

Note: Lifting glass jars can be dangerous, and gets more dangerous if the contents are hot or they above a pot of boiling water. You need to decide in what, if any, situations this design and your own print of it are safe to use, and assume full risk yourself. If you're unsure, or are working with others, please be cautious and buy something from a store.
