Captive Marble Towel Holder.
Parents wanted a towel holder for RV. Based off of an old wooden one in the same style.
Print vertically until around Layer 250 (~50% completed), then drop in a 0.5 inch stainless steel ball bearing and resume printing.
Printed in both PLA and PETG. May want to increase infill and wall thickness for stronger part.
Push towel with hands on either side straight to the top and let go to set. Pull towel laterally out to release. Do not pull down, pull it out sideways.
Hung with command strips. Double sided tape, or velcro would work. There is space to drill a hole in the top if you want to screw it in permenantly.
Blend file included, but its my first time using blender so its absolutely horrific. Removing the top fluting will yield a much stronger part. I was told to to add it for the aesthetics.
Build Plate File from Bambu Studio works completely supportless.
