I am excited to present a new development - a case for the BTT Closed Loop Driver S42C. This case is part of a larger project to upgrade a small lathe, which I mentioned earlier. Once completed, I will definitely share the details. As for the driver itself, it can be used not only in such projects but also in 3D printers, for which it was originally designed by the manufacturer.Key features of the driver:The essence of such drivers lies in improving the accuracy of stepper motor control. A regular stepper motor has a one-way communication with the controller: the controller gives a step command, and the motor executes it, but the controller doesn’t know if the command was executed correctly or if steps were missed.The S42C driver offers a different scheme: it works as a servo motor emulator, having its own controller.
