Took the door holder from @MMach (cute design, btw. Wife approved) and I adjusted/updated a few things for our needs.
- It's now wider to hold onto the top of the door a bit better without shifting or turning off of the door.
- I also adjusted the width of the opening of the "hook" for the 44mm trim on our doors. (Edit the aptly named extrusion in OnShape/Fusion to your needs). There is room for the linked felt pads to minimize damage on any of the door framing.
- I, too, altered the "hook" end to allow for the angle you'd want the door open to allow a bit better hold. NOTE: This is for a LEFT hand opening door. I could make a RH and post if enough interest.
- There's also a bit of an angle at the very tip so that it's a bit gentler to allow the door to clip onto the frame while the door swings towards closed.
Our cats like to body slam the door open and we needed a gentler and yet simple solution to not allowing the door to swing open from them. :)
