Cat Ear Headband

Cat-ear headband designed for 3d-printing.

UPDATE: added a v2 for a thicker headband and removable inserts.

This headband was designed for 3d-printing with optional “inserts” to add a touch of color or personalization. The band has little nubbins to grip the hair, and the ears have attach points that still allow some flex in the headband.

This model shouldn’t have issues scaling up or down, but as-is it is 8-year-old sized.

When slicing, remember to keep it light. That means 1 perimeter and a low % infill. It’s nice to use a 5% infill like honeycomb or gyroid for stiffness too.

I would recommend the lowest layer-height that you have patience for. That being said, it prints great at 0.2mm.

This model is designed to print without supports. All surfaces touching the bed have a small chamfer so it should be ready-to-go after printing.

I would also recommend PLA for this print for stiffness.
