Cat Pole Angled Wall Mount

My cat liked to climb trees when he was outdoors. This pole at an angle is helping him acclimate to indoor life. He has been able to scamper up the side a decent way before swinging around and falling off. It works best if there is a landing platform about halfway up and at the top. I am working on that design next. I made my long pole using a cardboard tube that was used by McMaster to send me some metal. I copied the end caps from that design as it seemed fairly standard. If you are unable to locate such a cardboard tube, you can print sections of tube. I have included a tube section and a coupling in the print profile. The cardboard tube has an outside diameter of 82mm. I used ¼" Sisal Twisted Rope for this and hot glue to attach it on each layer. In my case, the 6 foot tube required 3 rolls of ¼" x 100' Hyper Tough rope from Walmart. It is Item #8010:-HT. I am sure you can use any sisal you like but keep the size up around ¼ for best grip.
