If you ever had to replace the connector of a CAT6 cable, you know what to do with this Thingy. Other than CAT5 the CAT6 cable has a separator in the middle.
This keeps the twisted pairs separated, which is a good thing.
But...
If you use cheap (but good quality) connectors these cables are hard to manage. The copper is a little bit thicker and the pairs can slide inside the cable. So if you try to keep the pairs the same length, you might end up a bit fustrated. If you lose your grip on the cable the pairs will immediately have different lengths. If you have a tight grip, but you bent the cable a little bit... again different lengths.
Place his Thingy close to the end of the cable, so the pairs will stay the same length.
