Catan Pieces Container

Was searching for storage of my Catan props and found this nice box https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1487260.Unfortunately it has very small walls, but I am unable of adapting it myself, so I glued the whole thing together. Two of the hex towers contain my Catan tiles, so I found a use for the other towers as well. I printed a Catan item box for each color to hold my streets, settlements and cities. The lid is a little hard to open and close. Maybe someone can tell me how to adapt to do this be
