Some intellectual help when fishing for catfish.
You fisherman know what time of month to use the clams.
Use your imagination on rigging.
I melted a hook into the plastic with a solder iron and then pushed hot sinkers to weight the clam so it flips the hook up in the air as it floats. The other clam has a cavity you can add your favorite stink bait.
Holes though the clam also help with rigging ideas.

You can add some Fly float-ant silicon oil to your fishing line spool so your entire line floats and does not snag the bottom.
