Designed to fit over strings, and help in place using straps (I use Velcro, but other fastening methods can be used). Helps keep the bow from "floating" up and down the strings. Helpful for beginning cellists (like myself). May need to be resized to fit your bridge.

The bottoms of the arches are meant to fit in the wells of the rectangular "feet", which can be adjusted to match the contour of your cello.

I recommend using cork or felt under the feet of the guide to keep from damaging the finish of your cello.

This guide can easily be resized using your favorite tool (I use Tinkercad) for different sizes of cello, or for violin, viola, etc.

Please note that this guide, much like fingerboard tape to mark positions, is not meant to be a substitute for learning proper technique, and should be removed as soon as the student has achieved adequate bow control.
