I like to have my spools sitting above my Cetus MKII 3D Printers so they take up less space. By doing this, I'm able to fit 4 side by side in a 2ft x 4ft area.
The spools don't spin well on the square aluminum extrusions, so I decided to print an rounded edge for the spool to ride on.
Print upright with the larger side down. I added sides to both ends to make it easier to keep sample filament from flopping off the end.
