Chainmail Fabric (Customizable)

This thing is a customizable OpenSCAD script to generate your own design chainmail fabric patches.

The main script is ChainmailV3.scad. At the top of the script, import the "design" scad file (I have added some examples) simply draw your design in the code of the design file, set the X and Y dimensions and then it's ready.

In the main script there is a "Detect" variable, set it to the value to render that part of the fabric, once rendered save that part. Do the same for any other parts, changing the "Detect" variable to the next part.

The chainmail links are my own design but heavily influenced from the designs found here on Thingiverse.


I have also included a "split" link peice, this creates 6 2-part chainmail links that can be used to sew a larger patch together if the patch is too large for your print bed, simply place between the 2 fabrics and glue the tops on.
