I'm working on a project utilizing a Cheap Yellow Display and needed some specific features. I needed a button for power, a rotary encoder to select features on the screen in lieu of the touchscreen, and it needed to be battery-powered for portable use. I put together this design over a couple of iterations to meet my goals. It utilizes a CYT1100 encoder, a 19mm Latching Push Button, an ESP32-2432S028R “Cheap Yellow Display”, and a TP4056 LiPo charging board. The TP4056 is held in place with a dab of hot glue, and everything else mounts using the built-in mounting mechanics. A lithium battery will be fitted with double-sided tape on the bottom of the enclosure when the final product is ready. Hopefully someone else finds some use out of this!
