The only piece that needs support is the knight
I recommend printing the Squares in bundles of eight standing on their edges. That enables you to remove them easier and print them without support. It also creates a nice looking texture on the surface due to the layerlines. When you arrange the squares that the different colors are disaligned in a 90° (π/2 rad) angle you get different reflection behaviors for the two colors.



If you use the feet you will need a 200mmx200mm plate of any material to hold the squares. I used a acrylic glass plate to keep it transparent but you can use even cardboard.
