The 3D Printed Chessboard that also happens to be portable.
After trying out a few different chessboards I decided to create my own. I like one that was using dovetails, but I could not get it to snap together easily.
This chessboard is easy to print, and easy to assemble.
I have included is a test print. I would recommend you print this first to ensure you like the board and it works for you. File: ChessBoard.test.print
There are 16 quadrants of four tiles. I have glued the tiles in place since I have no intention of swapping them out. That also means that I did not create a snap so the squares could pop in and out. In my next version, I will do just that.
Each quadrant has a connector. Technically you do not need to use all of them while assembling the board to play, but I have for this example. They connect in easily from the bottom and come apart just the same.
