Chesterfield button

I struggled finding high quality buttons for an upholstery project and design a new type op hardware that is FDM friendly. I replaced the string holding back the buttons with a screw going through the existing hole, a nut bold it back. Next the knob is hot-glued to the printed screw cap, this slides on the screwhead. All the tension is taken by the cap and the button only remains decorative.
Bonus: the fabric is hold back with a big head, preventing it from damaging.
