I have to admit that I am a fanboy of smart home stuff at home. Particularly I like the remote control sockets from Osram because they work with the Hue light bulbs from Phillips (see http://geni.us/YsiW*).
This is the right Osram smart + socket: http://geni.us/zwqVBA*
But from my point of view, they have a big design failure. The socket can be switched on and off with very low pressure. If you have small children or pets at home, or if you want to prevent accidental switch-on you can use this small protection plate.
I have designed it for the EU Socket. If it's needed, I try to customize it also for other regions. Please send me a message if you need it for a different type.
