Chipolo card

Chipolo card has non-replaceable battery. Instead of replacing/renewing it every year, I replaced the battery with two button cell batteries. The size changed from 68x37x2.15mm to 72x31x3mm.

You'll need:

- Old Chipolo card.
- Two CR2016 batteries.
- Battery spot welder (there are many ~$15 welders on Aliexpress if you don't have one).

These two batteries should give you approximately the same life as the original non-replaceable battery (180mAh).

Piezo disc orientation matters -- make sure two contacts are placed on the outer part of the disc and the scratched surface of the inner part. You can use hot glue to fix everything together.
