Christmas Gift 2024 - Sphere

I have a little present for you for Christmas and a small challenge for you over the holidays.As you can see in the picture, it is a ball as a Christmas tree decoration. You can hang them up. But you can also use them as decoration for display. Printing a sphere using FDM 3D printing can be challenging. Because a sphere presents all levels of difficulty regarding overhangs. It is therefore almost impossible to print a sphere flawlessly using the FDM/FFF process. I've included the two necessary STL files (sphere and hanger). The hanger is printed separately and then attached to the sphere with a drop of glue. This eliminates the need for filament changes during printing.Please determine the optimal print settings for this model based on your specific printer and filament. I printed mine on an X1C using standard speeds and a layer height of 0.08 or 0.1mm. The ZIP file includes images of my print settings.
