As Christmas approaches again this holiday season, I wanted to put some lights up in my basement. I have open exposed joists that are your typical 1.5 inch width. I've used threaded hooks in the past to hang lights but they can be a pain to use and leave marks in the wood. I designed up this light clip to solve the problem.
The bottom portion is where the light threads through by pinching the top part together. When the top part is on the wood it pinches the light clip part closed - neat! They slide easily onto the exposed joists and make for a very quick solution to hanging up lights in different locations.
I printed them with 4 walls with a 0.4mm nozzle and they came out great.
