Very frustrating trying to get lasers aimed correctly. The BQ style design with threaded rods has no side to side adjustment. This improved model assembly allows for precise aiming.
This model requires drilling and tapping, but otherwise is a drop in replacement for the traditional mounts.
Threads and holes are a pain with 3D printing. clear and tap hole sizes on traditional charts never seem to work well. In this case, tapping the 3mm holes is a pain. The tap constantly loads up with PLA and must be backed out every few turns and the threads that remain are precarious. If you ruin a hole you can over drill it slightly, fill it with 24 or 5 hour JB Weld, take a mating screw, coat it in Vaseline, the wipe off of the Vaseline and thread it into the hole loaded with JB Weld... when it sets up the screw will back out easily because of the Vaseline film and you'll be left with decent threads.
