This is an example of circular printing in openscad, based on a lookup table.

The method allows to put a text on a circular object (ring, bracelet, bottle, cylinder,..)
The comments in the source guide you to:
1) define the characters in the required sequence. The decimal values of ASCII characters are used. (Set the correct angle values in the table, according to your angle parameter)
2) adapt the parameters (size, …). Put the right number of characters !
3) define the base object (respect the radius ("ra") value chosen in the parameters !
V2: added a font name parm, corrected a small angle error in each character placement.
