Classical Picture Frame 1

Frame for 8" (20.32 cm) square art print with border.

I scaled the frame, cutout an opening for art prints, added holes for hanging, and divided it into 4 parts.

The frame measures 10 ¾" (27.305 cm) square after gluing the 4 parts together. The cutout fits art prints with total measurements of 205 mm square, a 5 mm thick foam core, and a 0.020" (0.508 mm) thick acrylic sheet.

Due to the small details around the front of the frame, it is best to print at a layer height of 0.2 or lower. Infill should be about 30% or more. I printed this with a 0.6 nozzle at 0.3 height and the print was more like a wire frame than a regular print. I needed to use a lot more filler than I expected, resulting in a lot of extra sanding.
