The manufacturer provided an extra silicone cleaning pad. I cut it in half and attached an additional plastic rod to the metal lever to secure one half on top. One side of the metal wiper removes larger pieces of excess plastic, while the nozzle is cleaned by the silicone pad on the other side as it passes through.
