I often encountered the problem that I had to cut open my net pots when I wanted to transfer or harvest plants (see pictures) in my hydroponic system. Therefore I have designed a few net pots that can be opened and closed in order to reduce damage to plants while transferring and reducing waste while harvesting. By printing these pots you can contribute to sustainability!
Print Settings
Material: PLA or PETG or ASA (see below)
Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Infill: 15%
Supports/Brims: Yes/No
ASA and PETG are recommended to print this model because of potential sun and heat exposure (e.g. in greenhouses). For indoor systems, PLA should be sufficient.
The net pots were designed to fit 48mm neoprene rings. However, you can also use other hydroponic substrates like for example Expanded Clay, Rockwool cubes, Coco Coir, and Lava Stones.
Additions parts:
- 48mm Neoprene Rings (https://amzn.to/4crmm6N)
- Expanded Clay (https://amzn.to/3VVfEi
