Clock Making KitAbout the Kit:This kit is designed to help any maker get started making a clock! Sometimes, putting together the technical hardware for a project can be a bit of a drag…so I made a little kit that takes care of that part so makers can channel their energy and creativity into the clock itself!πŸ‘‰ Don't forget to like, follow, and BOOST!Specifications:This kit is made to go with a quartz clock mechanism that has a shaft with an 8mm diameter. The body of the mechanism is 56x56x16mm.This is the specific kit I used:https://amzn.to/4lgsTWV*Affiliate link β€” I may earn a small commission if you purchase.Recommended Print Settings:πŸ•’Be sure to print the nut and hands to match the color scheme of your clock!Support:The only thing you’ll want to support is the inside of the sliding piece on the mount that attaches to the desk stand:How to Use the KitThe kit is centered around the housing unit. It is made to easily snap the quartz mechanism into place. The ridges on the side allow the mechanism to slide in with some applied force, and then keep the mechanism locked in place. It has a cut-out in the back for easy access to the battery and the time adjustment knob. The housing has a hole at the top to allow for wall-hanging, as well as a port on the bottom for sliding into the stand to place on any surface.Once the quartz mechanism is installed, it can be secured onto the clock with the printed custom nut. Finally, the hands can be affixed to the face of the clock.NOTE: DO NOT push the second hand in too tightly. Only push it far enough that it sticks into the mechanism. Pushing it too far can stop the mechanism from turning properly.Commercial Use:This model is for PERSONAL USE ONLY.πŸ’²πŸ’²πŸ’²If you would like permission to SELL THIS MODEL please subscribe to my Patreon here: https://patreon.com/davidsitgarageHappy Printing!
