After building my own CNC mill and acquiring a SainSmart Genmitsu CNC Router 3018-PROVer, I decided I needed a place to store my numerous carving and engraving bits. This is a simple design that holds 40 bits with an approximate shaft diameter of 3.17mm. The 10 on the far right are shallower than the other ones for the V-shape bits which are not as long as the flat nose bits.
20% infill is more than sufficient and the tolerance on my Prusa MK3S makes for a nice true fit.
I used MK2 x 2mm strong magnets (4 on each side) and made sure to flip them for proper magnetic attraction. With some E6000 adhesive, they never moved.
