This is the first part that I have programmed using "Autodesk Powermill" software. This material for the component was 6061 Aluminium. Constraints: • Maximum available machining volume: X: 750mm Y: 450mm Z: 700mm • Three-axis only. • Spindle maximum: 10000 rev/min Available tooling diameters (mm) • Milling: 3 (non-preferred), 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 • Drilling: 1 to 13 in 0.5mm steps • Threading: 6, 8, 10, 12 Tools Used: 1. M6 Endmill 2.M3 3 flute drill 3. M3 Ball nose Endmill From this experience of programming my first part, I gained a lot more understanding behind the methodology of different tooling and materials. The design intent of the part is vital as you can design anything in CAD, but if it can't be manufactured by standard techniques then it is not designed well. Overall this has piqued my interest and will be looking into more CNC programming in the future. Hope you enjoy the model :) Yohann
