2021.02.12: this design is based on a nodemcu board which has wifi problems. Will consider redesigning it to use a wemos d1 mini, which has a shielded esp chip.
2019.11.25: decreased the size of the mounting pins for the esp8266, previous versions didn't have enough tolerance to allow the board to fit.
2019.09.01 updated the STL file --> some esp8266 boards had the mounting holes in a slightly different position and wouldn't fit. This version places the esp8266 board a bit further from the back edge.
