You can use this print to envelloppe a coin with filament.
As a prank or to keep the coin in mint condition.
The SCAD-file (v2) should be self-explanatory, but just to make sure:
- Enter your coin dimensions, layer-height and extruder-width in the SCAD and render. These parameters will be used for calculating optimum fitting.
- The Z+ text indicates at which height the coin should be inserted (tip: before printing set your Z to zero).
- Pause printing or print more than 1 coin for problem free insertion
- The Z+ text stops being printed beyond the inserted coin height.
- DO NOT use support!!! This will of course fill the void intended for the coin.
- In the SCAD I also added an option for a "brake-plate" for easier opening.
I have added the STLs for EURO-coins 0.05/0.10/0.20/0.50/1.00/2.00.
If you need other coin hiders, use the SCAD or contact me.
SCAD v1 is simpler and should be tested first.
