**Please read the printing instructions below carefully.**
This differs from the Collapsing Lightsaber from John Mulac (3DPRINTINGWORLD) in two main ways:
1) It is printable on a small printer with a print volume of 15cm x 15cm x 15cm, while the hilt and the extended length remain similar to the original (in fact this version extends to over 1m!)
2) I added an unobtrusive screw-on cap to store the blade in the saber securely
To achieve the above, I ended up modifying the hilt (which now looks slightly different!) and redesigned the blade from scratch. Some details:
- The blade tubes are shorter (15cm), so to achieve a good extended length, I use 8 blade tubes.
- To accommodate 8 blade tubes, the inner diameter of the hilt needs to be wider.
- Therefore, the thinner features of the hilt are removed (i.e., the hilt does look slightly different from the original design, please see the images. If you care about these exact details, then this design is not for you)
