Collet Shaft Compression Panel Mount Through Hole

I needed a way to mount a wooden dowel through the face of a panel. This design uses a compression collet to grip the shaft and hold it in place. In my case, I mounted this to the side of my HVAC duct and it held a wooden dowel which has a BME280 temperature sensor on the tip. Fusion 360 files: https://a360.co/4d2fo7w
