Column repair device

This lifting device was inspired from telescopic cranes and steel structure support. It is used to support structural beams while columns are being repaired. The device is operated by two persons, easy to unload from a vehicle, the different parts can be assembled next to the vehicle, and then rolled into place. The device has a manual forklift wheel system that makes it autonomous; no need for forklifts to move it around the warehouse. Once positioned in place, the device is telescopically erected to the right height, secured with safety pins, leveled with level screws, and then the hydraulic bottle jack comes in hand; it will lift the load from the damaged column and repairs are made in total safety. Once finished, the device is lowered and disassembled to leave the job site, or simply pushed to another position for another repair. Calculations were made for the moments and loads that each of the columns is subjected to. Autodesk Robot was used for the FEA simulations as well as the Autocad Mechanical, and my previous experience in steel structures came in hand.
