A common Problem on those old Home Computers is electronics dying.
I had a Problem with my Commodore 128 where one of the latching Keys on the
Keyboard stopped working. It is nearly impossible to get a working new one so
i decided to Design a Adapter.
It is designed to fit those cheap Chinese latching 8x8mm Switches you could get
at Amazon and other sources.
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00SFRBLG2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The bigger Part with the 8x8 hole is for using in the Keyboard, the two small parts
are the adapters for the key to switch.
Just drop the Switch in the 8x8 hole and mount the Key using the proper adapter. Then
insert the replacement in your Keyboard an adjust Key heigth.
If the height is ok, glue the Switch to the Large Adapter to stop it from going further down.
